It is a mini retreat especially designed for You to come alone, or with friends or partner to renew your love of life. Sit and gaze at the stunning view, take some time for you! Don't want to go out? There is everything you need to stay in. Gaze at the twinkling constellations under a cosy tartan blanket, or just sit, drink, chat and relax. Your time, your way!

Opting for a clean and uncluttered energy, you’ll find this property equipped for the most discerning guests. A fully stocked, gourmet kitchen awaits with features including a coffee machine for the coffee connoisseurs in your group.

The space displays photographs from around the area.

With three bedrooms and two full baths, there’s space to comfortably accommodate six people.

To accommodate our most sensitive guests, we have opted to create an allergen-free environment. This means there is a purifier in both living areas.

The outdoor amenities are just as spectacular, with a veranda offering chairs and a bbq.

The reviews tell the story of just how well loved this property is.

A complimentary pantry

Your stay includes full access to Dan's Cul-na-Saith pantry. We stock a choice of cereals along with necessities for a range of cooking styles. Baking supplies, spices, all manner of teas and coffees, oils, vinegars, frozen meals, frozen vegetables, tinned food, sauces, condiments, beans, rice, pasta etc (in fact, everything that are pantry staples is included) to invite guests to create and indulge.

The Surroundings

Admire beautiful lake views from every direction, where the mountain line is visible, and the trout can be seen from the balcony of this beautiful waterfront property at the Great Lake, Tasmania. This property is drenched in sunlight all day with beautiful sunsets to be enjoyed.

Whether you are a weekend warrior, fisher, hunter, aurora hunter or want to get away to the
great outdoors, this home will suit you!

The best part about this home is its' location! From here you have ultimate access to some of the best fly fishing and scenery in Tasmania!

The area is studded with alpine tarns formed by glacial action between 8,000 and 20,000 years ago. Lunettes (alpine sand dunes) near Lake Augusta formed after the last glacial period. These are the only alpine lunettes in Australia!

Deer, wombats, spotted-tail quolls, wallabies, ringtail possums and long-nosed potoroos can be seen by careful observers in the evening but during day there is plenty of birdlife including raucous yellow-tailed black cockatoos and majestic Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagles.

Reptiles abound in the low scrub. Be on the lookout for mountain dragons, snow skinks and snakes.

As well as introduced trout, the lakes support a diverse array of aquatic invertebrate fauna with many unique and endemic species, such as the mountain shrimp and the burrowing crayfish.

Tods Corner / Great Lake is the perfect spot to watch the Southern Hemisphere’s finest light show – the dancing colours of the Southern Lights, aka the Aurora Australis. Many describe these natural phenomena as a dance of lights across the sky and a memory that will last a lifetime.

Peace and tranquillity await your arrival.
